The conference programme is packed with presentations and workshops to engage all delegates. Chaired by James Hudson, regional chair of the Chartered Institute of Housing, this year’s keynote speaker is Vidya Alakeson, chief executive of Power to Change, who will outline why her organisation is investing so much in community-led housing. Delegates will hear different local authority, developer, registered provider and landowner perspectives and get up to the minute information from Homes England and Community-led Homes nationally.
There will be an opportunity to hear from our emerging community-led housing enabling hubs in the North of Tyne, South of Tyne and Tees Valley as well as from dedicated local authority support staff.
Together with focussed afternoon workshops, the chance to question the speakers and plenty of time for networking, this is an event not to be missed for those interested in seeing more community-led homes put in place across the North East.
The event is free to attend thanks to support from Power to Change but places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
